TNNA Orders begin to roll in...

Although it feels like I haven't been back for long the beginning of the orders have started to arrive. Within the week we received our new needles from Crystal Palace which are bamboo circulars. The needle spins on the cable which allows for more freedom while knitting. The shipment of Soak came in as well.

he new 'Scentless' and 'Sola Evening Garden' are in stock. The 'Scent for Celebration' is on backorder but we do have the mini's available if you want to try some. 'Sola Evening Garden' is a limited edition fragrance which is designed by Amy Butler. As best put by Jacques, creator of soak, "Sola, evening garden is a soft, comforting fragrance with clean, earthy notes reminiscent of a breezy evening in the garden". It's fantastic.

Finally, Lantern Moon products arrived & are fully stocked. At TNNA we ordered the Palm Leaf Totes:

We also ordered the Fish Messenger Bags & Large Rice Baskets:

And the Silk Needle cases which are always a favorite:

Feel free to stop in and see our new things! We have shipments coming in daily... you never know what you might find!

Jennifers Lace Ribbon Scarf

Jennifer was in over the weekend to pick up some more RYC Bamboo Soft in color 110 Pompadour to finish her Lace Ribbon Scarf from Knitty.

The RYC Bamboo Soft is giving wonderful stitch definition and really lets the pattern show off. Great job Jennifer!

Saturday is World Wide Knit in Public Day

If you are looking to knit, crochet or stitch on Saturday June 14th go to Pier A in Hoboken and join the group. The start time is 12 noon so bring a blanket or chair and a project and enjoy some springtime knitting.

WWKIP (world wide knit in public) started in 2005 and has increased in popularity every year since. This will be the second year Hoboken will be participating thanks to the Hoboken Stitch N Bitch who organized the event.

Happy WWKIP Day!

TNNA Report

We are back from Columbus, rested and inspired by all the fantastic things we saw. There were hundreds of merchants with beautiful samples of needlearts. Some we know really well like Antonia who brings us our fabulous Rowan yarns or Richard & Taiu from Koigu, the booth we visited most (couldn't get enough). Others we met for the first time like Beth & Michael who own Lorna's Laces. Yes, a fall order was placed and we eagerly anticipate it's arrival!

One new line we picked up is Mission Falls 1824 Wool. It is an amazingly soft superwash merino that will be great for sweaters, hats, mittens oh my....

The color palette is classic and great for timeless garments. Stop by and feel our sample for yourself!

Blue Sky Alpacas has brought out new 'Pretty Cheap Project Bags' that we think are adorable and will be arriving with our fall order.

We picked up some hand dyed silk ribbon from River Silks in an array of chocolate colors. We envision eyelets on garments laced with this ribbon to add that finishing touch.

Other things are in the works like some new classes & some other new yarns for fall from companies we love and deal with regularly.

Thanks to Margaux for being my side-kick, to read her take on things check out her blog tentenknits .

Thank you to our loyal customers for your patience as we were closed for a few days so that we could attend the show.

Last but very far from least, a huge thanks to Heather & Adam for opening the shop over the weekend.

My-O My-O My-O, we're going to Ohio!!

The National Needle Arts Association trade show is here!

Margaux and I will be making our way around the Columbus Ohio Convention Center this weekend. We leave early tomorrow morning and will spend 4 days at the show.

We'll be taking classes every day with some teachers you may know of like Cat Bordhi as well as bringing you new ideas and inspiraton from industry leaders!

When the market opens, we will be in the middle of the largest display of needleart products available under one roof (a true Knitters Wonderland!) There will be designers, importers, authors, publishers & all their products to see and touch personally!

We are excited to be able to offer you some of the best yarns, patterns and ideas this fall!

Ohio here we come!
